Our trip up to Bolton, the last away game of the 06/07 season.
A typically hungover Sunday morning wasn't helped by wearing a full costume gorilla suit for the journey up to Bolton. A few mandatory poses were required before boarding the train (see above). Needless to say, it was very much a party atmosphere in the concourse and the stands. The highlight of the party came when Michael Jackson stood over the lower tier and tossed his baby in the air several times before throwing it into the much amused crowd.
On the pitch the villa fans were treated to two sensational strikes. Graig Gardner opened his villa account by volleying home from Carew's flick on. Amid the celebrations, I turned to my cousin and shouted in disbelief, 'Did he hit that on the volley?', 'He's hit that on the volley!'. The second equalizer wasn't of the same calibre but Luke Moore fired in a sweetly struck volley to earn villa a well deserved point.
